Show Summary: Emily Owens, M.D. follows Emily (Mamie Gummer) who is fresh out of med school and is now a first-year intern at Denver Memorial Hospital, where she'll have the chance to work with world-famous cardiologist Dr. Gina Bandari (Necar Zadegan), and her resident Dr. Micah Barnes (Michael Rady). Emily works along side her med-school crush, Will Collins (Justin Hartley), and her high school nemesis, the gorgeous, popular Cassandra Kopelson (Aja Naomi King). As she navigates through her new life, she finds it may not be so different from the high school years she was so eager to leave behind.

Episode Summary: Emily struggles to decide whether she should start a relationship when Will learns about their situation and starts to jealous. Emily and Tyra treat an unruly patient, but after learning of the woman's hoarding situation at home, Emily starts to think that the woman's personality changes may be caused by her cats. After Cassandra and Will's break-up, Will is distracted by Cassandra's strictly professional behavior and misdiagnoses a patient. Meanwhile, Micah's sister comes to visit after learning the truth about their mother.
