Show Summary: The supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries tells the story of a high-school girl as she is introduced into a supernatural world of vampires and other mystery creatures. Although the supernatural creatures have long inhabited the small town where she lives, it isn't until a year after her parents' deaths that they make themselves known. The Vampire Diaries is created by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec and is based upon the novels of the same name written by L.J. Smith. Although based upon these novels, the story presented veers away from the plot in the books and crafts its own compelling story.

Stefan turns to Dr. Fell and Matt for help, while back on the island, Damon shares some sad news with Rebekah, and is surprised at her reaction. Damon and Rebekah uncover s surprising piece of news from Vaughn. The group is terrified when Bonnie shares the remaining part of Shane's plan. Elena is able to devise a plan of her own after Damon's efforts to help her.
