Caroline decides to move out of the apartment she lives in with her husband because of his impending deployment she decided to live with her biological mother. Gloria decides to begin a relationship that with Pat not realizing the deployment begins 24 hours later. Joan has difficulty adjusting to life at home and David becoming sick due to the drugs he takes for AIDS.
